I agree with the idea that Legacy is expensive, but most items cost around 1 Million Credits to 1.5 Million Credits. Remember Bioware cannot change what the Jedi are, they do have to stick to the rules set out by Lucas Arts on what a Jedi is. But until more people want to play as Jedi, we will see this issue. They have allowed you to be whatever race you want on both ends, and have made same faction PVP. This is a players choice, and Bioware has handled it well so far. the Jedi are keepers of peace an can play off more boring due to there more self sacrificing demeanor. the Sith are BAMFs who do what they want. Bioware is limited on what they can do based on the lore or Jedi vs Sith. or something similar.įaction imbalance cannot be blamed on bioware, this is an issue every single faction based game has always had and always will have. I personally have enjoyed legacy, these are items most MMORPGs do not have, and honestly moving forward, other MMORPGs are going to have to put them in. Otherwise, I don't see many people who would be too happy having to sacrifice their legacy just to be on a decent pop server. My only hope is that, when transfers are implemented, our legacy unlocks will carry over. Going back to feeling like a gimped wet noodle after running around with full group buffs and a sizable presence bonus isn't really giving me incentive. I have absolutely no incentive to roll on another server now. If the legacy system's purpose is to provide incentive for leveling, then each server should have at least 16 character slots, enough to support one of each Advanced Class for each side. The legacy unlocks should be ACCOUNT WIDE, not server specific.Īs of right now, if you'd like to get every legacy unlock, you have to play one of each base class (Republic and Imperial) on a single server. The fact that Legacy is bound to one server (meaning if I reroll I lose 38 levels and worse all my unlocks) and has slowed down fixing the population problem makes me want to agree with you. The "family tree" does nothing and is too linear. It is clearly cheaper in the long run to just buy for 2k a shot the passes from the security vendor. Especially the upcoming 1.3 unlocks that are character only and not legacy wide.Īn egregious example of how bioware just doesn't understand simple math and economics is the example of the lowering of the cool down for emergency fleet pass unlock. Meaning the cost is not worth the feature gained. The marginal untility for me of nearly all of the "unlocks" is zero. Hopefully BioWare has more interesting stuff on the way or they'll get more realistic on the prices. The rest of it I really don't give a flying banana about, especially the insanely high prices for all of the credit-only unlocks.įailure? I don't know about that, but it's probably not compelling enough for the effort that went into creating it.
